Do something. Serve.

We live in a self-absorbed society that’s actions sleep. Our consciousness is fading. Our motives are all about our own personal agendas. We seek what’s quick, easy, and cheap. Our actions are based on what works for us, not others. “Enjoy life!” Society says. One of the most commonly used terms on many popular social media websites is quote, “YOLO.” This simply means, “You only live once.” Society teaches that personal success is more important than anybody else. Enjoy life. Live it up. Have fun. Live. But more than this, who will care? Who will do something about the growing population of homelessness? Who will do something about the children in Kenya without food being forced to fight for an army that’s motives are destruction? The question isn’t, “What would Jesus do.” The question is, “What will my people do?” Do something. Be something. Serve something. Help something.
